As a scientist, you are required to represent the Charité on various occasions. In doing so, you have to communicate complex issues to different target groups in an attractive way. The spectrum ranges from experts to political stakeholders. Learn how you can convincingly and successfully convey specialist content in a way that is relevant to the target group - e.g. with an intro pitch and interactions with the audience.
After this training, you can successfully and convincingly present the contents of your field to internal and external stakeholders (e.g., for third-party funding applications, presentation of the Charité, at trade fairs, for political bodies, ...). When designing your presentation, you can cater to the specifics of different target audiences.
• Key elements for a presentation of the Charité
• Steps in analysing relevant stakeholders
• Customize content and presentation styles to the respective target groups
• Linking scientific content with compelling storytelling
• Role of the presenter
• Types of presentation structure
• Successfully using visualizations
• Techniques for dealing with difficult questions
• Interaction with the audience
• Phases of preparation
The training will be held in English. Please note that this is the English version of the training “Überzeugend präsentieren für Wissenschaftler*innen und Expert*innen”.
